Version 2026-10-08-draft. A draft: Terms' own plain statement, until counsel's version replaces it.
1 Who we are
Terms is a service of txtbook LLC, a United States company. This policy says what Terms keeps about you and your organization, and what it does with it.
2 What Terms keeps
Your name and email address; the organizations you belong to and your role in each; the contracts and files your side adds, and what a person confirmed they say; what your side drafts, sends, and agrees; the AI apps you connect and what you let them do; and, when you sign, the time, the proof you used, your IP address, and your browser.
3 What Terms doesn't do
Terms runs no AI of its own and doesn't read your contracts with one. It doesn't sell your data, show ads, or use your data to train any AI.
4 Your own AI
When you connect your own AI, such as Claude or ChatGPT, what it reads through Terms its provider handles too, under your own account and agreement with that provider.
5 Who else handles it
Cloudflare hosts Terms and stores its data and sends its email. Paddle, Terms' reseller, bills organizations and takes payment; Terms never sees a card. When you send the people who make Terms a note, they read it with Claude, so Anthropic handles it too.
6 Where it's kept
In the United States, in your organization's region.
7 Email
Terms emails only sign-in codes, invitations, and what one organization sends another through it.
8 What you can do
An admin can export everything your organization keeps on Terms at any time, and delete the organization after a 30-day hold. The other side of an agreement keeps its own copy. You can disconnect an AI, or leave an organization, from your account.
9 Changes
When this policy changes, its version changes, and Terms says so when you next sign in.
